I have not played for some time started playing again this round and read this thread. I think unlimited crew has a range of negatives and limited positives, the main thing is it will take away the value of the icon because at the end of the round the crew leader can just invite everyone into the crew and then everyone gets the icon.
I have suggested in the past that should try having different crew sizes over 3 rounds and voting at the end. setup a 6,10,15 crew round and vote or even set a max limit of crew members at 20 but can compete with 6 or more with ranking being based on cbr / no crew members ( but if your crew member leaves so does the cbr they brought in to stop crews bulking up then droping ppl at the end to get the win)

Unlimited crew sounds great but reality is its not going to increase competition.
