his reaction time was about 1 yours was about 1.3 meaning he had .3 of a head start.....ur time was only .1 faster meaning he beat u by .2 :p

He lost the race, his reaction time was slower, therefore his ET did not start until he left the line. So the other guy left the line .3 sec faster. ran almost the same ET and was .3 faster on the take off. see?

Add your Reaction Time and your Elasped Time together to get a final time. The guy with the lowest ammount won the race. So for Example:
Timemachine
R/T: 1.383
E/T: 10.892
Total: 12.275
SloWoO
R/T: 1.043
E/T: 10.933
Total: 11.976
*DIFFERENCE* .299
So therefore he beat you by that much.
