that's exactly why i said i could already foresee people exploiting the system. if it wasn't for that, the game would be so much more fun. too bad others would abuse it and will probably never happen. unless they put a cap on how much more a car can sell for (no more than 300% of it's actual worth or something along those lines....).

Exactly what I was thinking. Somewhere along the lines of 3 times the price, cuz even a Rover is worth what..7.2 million or so. So if you could only get up to 3 times the amount then you would make 21.6 million from them.
If it did come into affect, then I believe their should be an amount of cars you could sell. Something like a 7 car limit. Yet your garage would remain the same, but it would have make some sort of strategic form to this game, now that you can't race for money...

wouldn't this kinda kill bandwidth tho? I imagine it will be more than just a couple of cars during peak hours.
I also think it should be less than 3 times, maybe like 1.5 or whatever. people don't get 3x the value at real auctions.
what if there is at least a police auction kinda thing. the coputer can set up random auctions with some of the cheap to intermediate priced cars. they would sell for a considerable amount less than new cars, but would have less horsepower or like no reliability. it would be like the used car lots on GT2 and GT4. this might be less strenuous on the system.
and if we're continuing this auction idea, what about selling parts too thru auction.

never thought of that before but that's a really good idea.
I think, though, the auctions should be a two hour thing. Take two hours to put your car up for auction and bidding is 5 minutes per car listed as "up for auction"
