no offense, u 2, but both of ur ideas would not make crews anymore useful.

maybe i should've asked the question...... "y would any1 want 2 b n a crew, other than the icon?"

a crew IRL would and COULD help each of its teammates out with things like racing experience, cash, cars........ y not n this game? y r crews just 4 beating other crews 2 get an icon?
