I agree with you too cres. Having an image system really would suck, it would be quite annoying to always have to type in something.

But there has to be something else that can stop all these, or put someone who is macroing at a disadvantage.

I am not quite sure how this could be in affect, but I believe that punishing is not the right cause. It will only allow someone to become more "Smart" and find a way around not getting caught.

I believe that somehow just new additions need to be made to the game. Adding some type of new feature that adds a new twist to the game could work.

I know I am not being specific, and dont have an actual idea, but something that gives everyone an equal advantage. Aka allowing everyone to figure out this new twist and everyone having to "learn" this new change.

If that makes any sense at all, ahha

Its all the same idea, its all just a cycle. Everything will continue to happen, it just will be in a different way. It will be that challenge for someone to come up with a new way to be the top.

As with card counting, they will black list you from casinos if you that good, haha

Smile I know, my dad was a professional card counter. Is an author now writing about it.

I'm saying if you're able to beat the system you should be able to. It's the owners responsibility to make the game harder and fix errors making it exploitable by a system like that. If someone is really good at programming and can make some bot/marco (aren't they the same?) then I don't really mind.

here is my rebuttle to this

basically if they are gonna complain about losing to macro's/non human players than they should have no problem clicking a button every few screens because the alternative they face is getting beaten by someone who uses a macro.

Yes clicking the button is a pain in the ass but so is people using macro's. Its something u must weigh and i believe using the image verification system of sorts will result in a happier more competetive community

Point well taken....

Yeah i have to agree that instead of trying to keep people from exploiting bugs or running macros by threatening punishment, the bugs should be fixed and the macros should be made more difficult to implement, if not impossible. I also think it would be possible to introduce the verification codes in a minimalist way that would not be too annoying. It really does seem like that's the most obvious solution to the macro issue anyway.

Or even what about moving things around a bit, so instead of My Garage being located at such and such location, next time you load it it could be 15 pixels lower. (easily done by having a black picture on the top of the screen a random amount of pixels tall)

skogs & monte....

how long b4 edz or somebody builds a pixel decyption macro like last time?

lets implement this change and give it 2 weeks see how it goes, by that stage someone would have paid sum1 enough to work a way around it.

people can continuosly be punished, and even if all us who have been here from the start have 0% user ratings and all quit.

a new surge of macro players is continuously on the rise, all the people who complain about macros r soon to use them.

the whole situation would have to take some serious thought, a fairly long discussion amongst peoples whos opinions and suggestions actualy make sence and are valued.

people like kelly can be left out, moving things around a bit is just about as retarted as assuming macros are easy to handle, they are programmed by humans to follow EVERY exact movement we make, so making them difficult to use is easier said then done.

this echo's what i said to an extent...
Just banning people will not do anything but spawn a new breed of cheaters...
the people who are interested in helping the game, and who know the methods of cheating, these people should be the ones helping with input... hell, you know what works and what does not... be of some use...

We're all ears... What are some possible "non-intrusive" solutions to the macro/bot issue? Currently, everything is focusing on the image verification. There's are ways around even the most sophisticated ones.

Ideas?

Well if you have enough time to click the accept button then you enough time to put in a few numbers

Maybe have number and letters

Or maybe you Ray should set your own marco up to pink everyone you think is marcoing so if you can pink them if they accept well then they are marcoing

Or make a certain limit yo can and cannot be online at a time makes it fair for everyone also whats the point of marcoing if you can only be online for a certain time

just my thoughts
