Myspace has become the first place some movies and songs are released it has grown to ridiculous levels in a near record period of time and is one of the few web businesses that makes HUGE money.

zzzz like zura said.. 'advertising'
myspace has lots of members yeh daniel? myspace will sell advertising spots to companies looking to throw offers at those members..
^verizon & LogMeIn pay myspace a decent amount of money to display those banners on the front page.. (myspace probably has 1000 other companies paying them to display similar banners/ads ) cha-ching$$$
members get a free community service>>>myspace makes money>>>advertisers make money win win situation..

rofl, was gonna do the same thing xD beat me to it.
Plus like I said record companies (is that even what they call em now? lol) and movie studios use Myspace as a prerelease forum for many of their offerings, they aren't doing that for free.
