Transfer case rebuilds? - CountryBoy - 09-20-2007 I have an 1987 GMC Jimmy and the transfer case has a little play in it. It makes a popping noise when you take off kind of fast. I was told that there is a chain in there that needs to be replaced....and it would come with a rebuild kit if i buy one. I tried looking and i cant find a rebuild kit anywhere. I have a 700r4 trans if that helps with finding one. thankyou Transfer case rebuilds? - itsallg33 - 09-20-2007 heres what you do...locate a local junkyard with the same exact truck you have. then at nioght sneak in there with adequate tools. Givin there are no guard dogs it should cost you nothing. If there are dogs. then it may cost you some other stuff. Maybe a bodypart or two. Transfer case rebuilds? - HeartBeatStoper - 09-20-2007 itsallg33 Wrote:heres what you do...locate a local junkyard with the same exact truck you have. then at nioght sneak in there with adequate tools.
