Wins / Losses (Ratio): 4 / 2 (0.67)

shouldn´t it be 0.50 ratio?

It is right 6 total races 4 wins is 2/3rds or .666666666666666666 or rounded .67

Wins / Losses (Ratio): 4 / 2 (0.67) - Dragon76 - 01-15-2006

That should really be "Wins / Total Races (Ratio)"

From how it is written now, it does look a little weird.

Math 101.. perhaps you need to brush up on a few formulas.

Ok....
Wins / Losses
4 / 2 = 2

Confusedhock:

Wins / Total Races --> Wins / (Wins + Losses)
4 / 6 = 0.667

Maybe you need to read what is written....English 101 maybe....
I know it is correct in how it is calculated, I was merely saying the wording should be changed, as what is calculated to get the ratio is Wins / Total Races.

Dragon: you are seriously smoking some crack.

It clearly states the following:

"Wins / Losses (Ratio)"

If you have 5 wins and 8 losses, the CORRECT way to display this type of information is:

5 / 8

Just like any sports league, their season stats are listed the same way... Wins over Losses (W/L).

Now, back on topic:

"Wins / Losses (Ratio)"

Do you not see the word "RATIO" in the parenthasis? You don't read it literally as in "Wins divided by Losses = Ratio". Otherwise, where the h3ll is the EQUALS sign???

Any venue (be it sports or otherwise) that requires a RATIO between 2 distinct statistics - in this case, WINS and LOSSES - would be calculated the SAME way using the following formula:

"Total Win DIVIDED BY Total Races" *THAT* would give you your WIN:LOSE *RATIO*

You simply DO NOT (never) calculate a ratio by just dividing the wins by the losses... the result would not make any sense. :roll eyes:

In your case: You won 4 races and Lost 2... That doesn't mean you win 50% of the time!? Wow.. If you won 50% of the time, that would mean you WON the SAME number of times that you LOST.

You've raced SIX (6) times, and won 4 of those 6... how does that make 50%?

ie: you win 4 times and lose 4 times, or win 2 times and lose 2 times, THAT would be a 50% win/lose ratio.

4 wins / (4 wins + 4 losses) = 50%
2 wins / (2 wins + 2 losses) = 50%

:end rant:

no wonder why Ray has you doing the coding Tongue

Wins / Losses (Ratio): 4 / 2 (0.67) - calder12 - 01-25-2006

Ok first off I understand what Dragon means but that doesn't mean the math is wrong lol.

Second.... No denying Cres is smart we all know that, but my 9 year old daughter does math tougher than this Danny. Tongue
